Auxiliary/Utility Tech

About the role

Fox Pest is looking for an enthusiastic Auxiliary/Utility Technician to service clients' homes with leading-edge products and deliver a positive customer service experience. This role involves specialized services, including treatments for insulation, mosquitoes, bed bugs, termites, and more. Each day brings new challenges, requiring versatility, knowledge, and readiness.

Responsibilities

• Service customers' homes in a professional and satisfactory manner.
• Inspect properties and determine the appropriate treatment type.
• Identify invading pests and apply chemical solutions, powders, and granules on or near surfaces to eliminate pests (typically specialized treatments).
• Install, repair, and maintain insulation systems to enhance energy efficiency and deter pests.
• Follow safety procedures for application and re-entry, utilizing appropriate protective gear and equipment.
• Maintain service vehicles in an organized, professional, and clean condition while adhering to all regulations.
• Uphold a professional appearance, including wearing a clean company uniform, appropriate footwear, and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Build positive, strong relationships with clients and work to exceed their expectations.
• Provide suggestions to clients on how to avoid pest problems when appropriate.
• Participate fully in training opportunities to enhance knowledge and meet licensing requirements.
• Begin the day with a team meeting to review schedules and gather materials, and end with paperwork and a team debrief to ensure high standards.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year of experience in pest technician work or insulation work.
• Ability to build positive relationships and effectively communicate value to customers.
• Able to analyze pest control activity, explain, and implement an effective plan of action.
• Ability to learn and follow servicing protocols for applying chemical solutions and powders.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• A valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
