About The Role
As an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld’s industrial disposal process.
Responsibilities
- Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, including boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment
- Monitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators, and electrical devices
- Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations
- Monitor air pollution control equipment
- Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required
- Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, including cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts
- Maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operations equipment and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and areas of operations
- Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment
- Must possess or be able to quickly obtain MA 1C/2C Hoisting License (refer to state of MA for license requirements)
- Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule
- 2nd MA Fireman license or higher preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
- Consistently work in various weather conditions
Pay
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $64,059.00 - $88,215.00.
