AutoTEM technician
About the role
You will work in an exciting electron microscopy lab supporting Intel's advanced technology development. Responsibilities include making ultra-thin specimens and/or performing TEM analysis in support of process/product development, qualification, and failure analysis. The role requires the use of dual beam FIB for TEM sample preparation and/or TEM for imaging and analysis. Continuous skillset upgrading is expected, requiring an open attitude and ability to learn from others.
Work is completed according to general instructions and prioritization, with some degree of judgment required to resolve non-standard problems. You will maintain necessary records and reports and perform other related duties as directed.
This position supports engineering activities such as fabrication, failure analysis, technology development, process development, and process integration. You will conduct engineering tasks and detailed technical procedures to perform sample preparation or imaging using advanced focused-ion-beam and/or transmission electron microscope tools in support of Intel's research and development activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ultra-thin specimens using dual beam FIB for TEM analysis.
- Perform TEM imaging and analysis in support of process/product development, qualification, and failure analysis.
- Conduct engineering tasks and detailed technical procedures using advanced microscopy tools.
- Maintain records and reports related to lab activities.
- Resolve non-standard problems with some degree of judgment.
- Continuously upgrade technical skillset and learn from others.
- Perform other related duties as required or directed.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Technical Area (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Technology, Material Science, or comparable field).
- 1+ years of hands-on lab and/or manufacturing experience.
- Technical certification (preferred).
- 1+ years of military-relevant experience (preferred).

Pay
Annual salary range for this position in the US: $63,090.00 – $102,790.00 USD (hourly role). The range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This role requires an on-site presence and follows Shift 5 (United States of America).
Primary location: US, Oregon, Hillsboro.
