Autos Cashier

This role works as part of a retail sales team to provide best-in-class customer care. The position offers opportunities for advancement to Parts Specialist and Retail Sales Lead through strong product knowledge, a solid work ethic, and positive performance evaluations. The Autos Cashier will promote sales and service during peak customer traffic periods, including weekends, sale days, and other high-traffic occasions.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and promote the Pick-n-Pull Safety Culture, adhering to all safety requirements and wearing assigned PPE correctly.
• Collaborate with your team to drive individual and shared goals while delivering desired results.
• Welcome and proactively engage with customers to ensure they receive assistance.
• Complete sales training and apply the Pick-n-Pull 5 Step Sales Model, building skills through ongoing training.
• Follow loss prevention, risk management, quality assurance, and cash-handling guidelines.
• Escalate customer situations to leadership when necessary.
• Support store operations by completing housekeeping, janitorial, and other assigned duties (e.g., cleaning tires, carrying batteries, mopping floors).
• Uphold integrity in every interaction and transaction.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Customer service experience or the ability to perform effectively in customer-facing roles.
• Able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, holidays, occasional overtime, and at any nearby store location assigned by management.
• Able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling customer payments across multiple payment methods.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Familiarity with automotive parts and the ability to recognize basic product details.

Skills

• Regular standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for handling tools, housekeeping duties (e.g., mopping, sweeping), and completing assigned tasks.
• Sufficient vision and ability to remain on your feet for the entire work shift.

Work Environment

This position works in both indoor and outdoor environments within an auto salvage yard setting, with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, automotive fluids, and noise from machinery and customer activity.
