Autos Cashier

This role works as part of a retail sales team to provide best-in-class customer care. The position offers opportunities for advancement to Parts Specialist and Retail Sales Lead through strong product knowledge, a solid work ethic, and positive performance evaluations. A proactive selling spirit and ability to work both as a team and individually are essential to meet store sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times, promote the Pick-n-Pull Safety Culture, and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Wear assigned PPE correctly and consistently whenever required.
• Collaborate with your team to drive individual and shared goals.
• Welcome and proactively engage with customers to ensure they receive assistance.
• Complete sales training and apply the Pick-n-Pull 5 Step Sales Model.
• Follow loss prevention, risk management, quality assurance, and cash-handling guidelines.
• Escalate customer situations to leadership when necessary.
• Support store operations through housekeeping, janitorial duties, and other assigned tasks (e.g., cleaning tires, carrying batteries, mopping floors).
• Uphold integrity in every interaction and transaction.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Customer service experience or the ability to perform effectively in customer-facing roles.
• Able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, holidays, occasional overtime, and at any nearby store location assigned by management.
• Able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling customer payments across multiple payment methods.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Familiarity with automotive parts and the ability to recognize basic product details.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, stretching, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Manual dexterity is essential for handling tools, performing housekeeping duties, and completing assigned tasks. Sufficient vision and the ability to remain on your feet for the entire work shift are necessary. The role operates in both indoor and outdoor environments within an auto salvage yard, with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, automotive fluids, and noise from machinery and customer activity.

Schedule
