Autonomy Engineering Intern

In this role you will assist the advanced technologies group in building next‑generation products using AI‑based object detection, virtual and augmented reality technologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand the problem and develop a solution
• Use Python, C++ as programming tools in Linux operating system
• Use OpenCV APIs for image processing and/or augmented reality application development
• Use Robot Operating System (ROS2) to build and deploy autonomy onto robotic platforms
• Use TensorFlow, PyTorch to create deep learning models using transfer learning approach
• Use NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded boards to train and deploy deep learning/machine learning models
• Hands‑on experience working on aerial work platforms, telehandlers, and scissors lifts
• Design, model and test new systems that integrate with a machine
• Understand the Product Development Process, Life Cycle Management, Reliability, and Design for Manufacturing requirements

Requirements

• Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in robotics, computer, or electrical engineering
• Must be fluent in C++, Python, Linux (or Ubuntu)
• Exposure to training and deployment workflow
• Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn through theory and practice
• Graduation date of December 2025 or 2026

Qualifications

• Exposure to neural network development frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience in extracurricular activities outside academic requirements
• Previous internship or work‑related experience
• Ability to work independently while prioritizing workload
• Flexible and adaptable to working under tight deadlines and/or changing needs
• Desire to learn multiple disciplines of engineering

Pay

Pay Range $18.00 - $37.00
