Autonomous Vehicle R&R Technician - MORNING SHIFT / HOURLY PAY $26-43

About the role

The Autonomous Vehicle Collision Technician will handle both major and minor collision damage on autonomous vehicles operated by the AV Driver. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality service on autonomous vehicles, while working in a positive and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy
• Document requested repairs and findings in a specialized service platform
• Communicates with Parts Department to obtain the needed parts
• Performs parts replacement of bumpers and doors
• Performs welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operations
• Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Operates all equipment in the Service Center in a safe and productive manner, following AutoNation's Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection)
• Maintain work area in an orderly and clean manner
• Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes
• Collaborates with and works alongside AutoNation associates, and partnering with teammates to improve processes and expedite workflow
• Keeps abreast of technical information and participates in offered training classes as appropriate
• Gains superior product knowledge to provide high-quality repairs

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• I-CAR / ASE Certifications, a plus
• At least three years’ Auto Body / Collision experience
• Automotive technical training
• Electric Vehicle experience, a plus
• Must have tools
• Must have a valid, in-state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record
• Ability to operate an automobile

Pay

Pay rate range is between $26.00 - $43.00 per hour worked based on skills, experience, and certifications.
