Autonomous Vehicle Detailer

About the role

This role is a specialized cleaning and charging position for Moove AV's autonomous vehicle fleet. The Autonomous Vehicle Detailer ensures vehicles are pristine, powered up, and ready for riders.

Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior cleaning: Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles to a published standard.
• Sensor surface cleaning: Follow specific procedures for cameras, lidar, and other sensor surfaces.
• Charging operations: Move vehicles between charging stalls, plug and unplug according to the daily queue, and report charging faults.
• Sanitization and biohazard response: Prepare sanitization kits and disinfect interiors between trips, responding to biohazard incidents according to OSHA protocols.
• Digital logging and status updates: Track vehicle status in fleet software and communicate readiness in Google Chat.
• Staging and handoff: Park vehicles in assigned zones and confirm handoff to the deployment team.

Requirements

• Prior experience in high-volume vehicle cleaning, such as rental car, dealership recon, or professional detailing.
• Comfort with basic digital tools like phone/tablet apps, chat-based communication, and simple status logging.
• Attention to detail that extends beyond cosmetics, catching issues like smudged sensors, cables not seated properly, or batteries below target levels.
• Able to follow documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalate issues outside of SOPs if necessary.
• Physical requirements: Standing and moving for the full shift length, lifting up to 20 lbs, and working outdoors in Miami weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
