About the role
As a Wheel Remanufacturing Technician I, you’ll work on-site in our Dent Wizard wheel remanufacturing facility performing essential tasks such as mounting and dismounting tires, balancing wheels, sandblasting, and washing wheels.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly inspect wheels for damage, cracks, bends, or other issues.
- Evaluate damage to tires, sensors, valve stems, and communicate findings.
- Safely remove tires, valve stems, and other components from wheels.
- Mount and dismount wheels on vehicles following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and industry guidelines.
- Clean and degrease wheel surfaces to prepare them for repair.
- Sand, grind, or use other methods to smooth out imperfections and remove rust or corrosion.
- Balance wheels to ensure even rotation and reduce vibrations.
- Reinstall tires, valve stems, and other components removed during disassembly.
- Perform quality checks to ensure wheels meet safety and appearance standards.
- Make necessary adjustments or repairs to meet quality requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Entry-level position; minimum prior experience required.
- Proficiency in mounting and dismounting wheels.
- Knowledge of wheel repair and restoration techniques.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with staff and customers.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive-motion tasks and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to frequently kneel, bend, squat, and lift up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to lift heavy wheels and work in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Pay
Starting compensation is expected to be $18.00 to $20.00/hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
