Automotive Transmission Technician

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild automatic and manual transmission systems - Perform advanced drivability and powertrain diagnostics - Conduct road tests before and after repairs to verify results - Accurately document all repairs, inspections, and test results - Communicate findings and repair recommendations with service advisors - Follow Ford repair procedures and dealership standards - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area - Use electronic diagnostic equipment and scan tools effectively

Qualifications

- Ford certification required - Ford transmission certification preferred - Minimum one year of transmission repair experience required - One or more years of dealership or fleet experience - ASE certification is a plus - CDL preferred but not required - Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem-solving skills - Ability to operate modern diagnostic equipment - Self-motivated, professional, and team-oriented - Must supply own tools - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
