Your Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair Lexus vehicles with accuracy and efficiency, following dealership and factory standards
- Communicate clearly with the parts department to ensure timely parts delivery and notify team leader if awaiting parts or special orders
- Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform authorized repairs
- Save and tag parts when jobs are under warranty or requested by the customer
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to recommend additional safety or service work when needed
- Notify Service Consultants promptly if additional work is needed, unnecessary, or if repairs cannot be completed as promised
- Document all work performed on repair orders with detailed concern, cause, and correction notes
- Road-test vehicles to verify quality of repairs
- Return customer vehicles clean and ready to drive
- Stay current with factory technical bulletins and attend factory training classes regularly
- Maintain a clean, organized shop and account for dealership-owned tools at all times
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal
- Demonstrate professionalism and embody Lexus's vision, mission, and values in all interactions
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe work environment
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending
- Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, or more than 10 pounds constantly
- Requires walking, standing, sitting, and operating arm or leg controls at a production pace
