Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and repairs of transmissions, engines, electrical, braking, and other vehicle systems
- Advanced transmission repairs and replacements following Ford OEM procedures
- Utilization of manual and computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues accurately
- Conducting routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
- Providing accurate labor and time estimates for recommended repairs
- Maintaining detailed repair records and service documentation
- Working efficiently to meet manufacturer and dealership standards
- Communicating effectively with service advisors and team members
- Following all safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
Requirements
- Skill Requirements: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills using manual and electronic tools; ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of repair procedures, maintenance schedules, and OEM guidelines; attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship; strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive technician; proven hands-on experience with transmission repairs and replacements; ASE Certification (preferred but not required); valid driver's license; experience in a dealership or high-volume service facility; completion of a formal automotive training program (preferred)
