Automotive Technician- Subaru

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with minimal supervision.
• Establish positive relationships with customers, striving to obtain a high Customer Service Index.
• Stay apprised of changes and innovations in service techniques, including manufacturer technical bulletins and help lines.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training classes as mandated by management.
• Advise service advisors when additional work is needed or when specific work outlined is not necessary.
• Supervise, coach, and teach less‑skilled technicians.
• Keep vehicles clean while working on them and maintain a tidy work environment, including clean work clothes and equipment stalls.
• Arrive before the designated starting time.
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA/EPA standards.
• Keep personal tools updated, maintain state‑of‑the‑art equipment, and advise the service manager of needed shop tools or repairs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience as an automotive service technician with strong diagnostic talent.
• Own set of tools.
• Proper credentials to show certification as a Master Technician with the vehicle manufacturer.
• Positive attitude and motivation.
• Certification in Acura, Honda, Honda Frankfort, Subaru, Mazda, and Volkswagen brands is preferred but not required.

Schedule

The dealership is expanding service capacity to include a four‑day work schedule for technicians.
