About the role

Neil Huffman Subaru is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Technician with strong diagnostic talent to join our growing service department. This position involves full automotive troubleshooting, testing, routine inspections, and repairs. Must have own tools and proper credentials showing certification as a Master Technician with the manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with minimal supervision.
  • Establish positive relationships, striving to obtain a high Customer Service Index.
  • Keep apprised of changes and innovations in service techniques, as well as manufacturer's technical bulletins and help lines.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes as mandated by management.
  • Advise service advisor if additional work is needed or if specific work as outlined is not necessary.
  • Supervise work (coach/teach) of less-skilled technicians.
  • Keep vehicles clean while working on them.
  • Maintain clean work clothes, equipment, and stalls.
  • Arrive before designated starting time.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA/EPA standards.
  • Keep personal tools updated to maintain state-of-the-art equipment and advise service manager of needed shop tools or repair of tools.
  • All other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Master Technician with the manufacturer (required).
  • Certification in Acura, Honda, Honda Frankfort, Subaru, Mazda, and Volkswagen brands (preferred but not required).
  • Highly motivated with a track record of success.
  • Positive attitude (a must).

Position is to be filled immediately. The dealership plans to expand service capacity, including a 4-day work schedule for technicians.
