About the role
Karl Chevrolet is a family-owned dealership serving New Canaan and Fairfield County since 1927. We are now approaching our 100th year and are seeking a motivated Level C Automotive Service Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, multi-point inspections, and routine maintenance
- Complete battery replacements, fluid services, filter and wiper replacements, and minor repairs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and clearly document findings to support your service advisor
- Work alongside senior technicians and learn from hands-on experience with complex diagnostics and repairs
- Accurately document all work performed — if you did it, write it up
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all shop safety standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; technical school training is a plus
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
- At least 1 year of hands-on automotive experience (dealership experience a plus, not required)
- ASE certification or active pursuit of certification preferred
- Strong work ethic and a genuine desire to keep learning
- Comfortable asking questions, communicating clearly, and being a team player
- Detail-oriented — you do the job right and you document it properly
Qualifications
