Automotive Technician / Mechanic (Paid Ford Certification Training)

BOWEN SCARFF FORD is looking for Experienced Service Repair Technicians to join our huge 30+ technician team. The right candidate will have a strong service technician background with Ford certifications and/or equivalent experience working with any major manufacturer.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with both Ford and Dealership policies.

• Understanding policy and how to capitalize on your personal productivity.
• Utilize your experience and skills working with complex Ford systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisors so that customers are informed accurately for progress and of any additional service is needed.
• Properly organize needed vehicle services and repairs gathered from a standard inspection process.
• Provide estimated time needed for diagnostics and repairs to maintain production schedule as a whole.
• Execute all repairs to manufacturer specifications and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• ASE Certification suggested and considered for Ford FAST training equivalency
• Ford Certifications a plus and required to be working towards if hired.
• Other OE brand certifications considered for conversion through the FAST program.
• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred.
• B level qualifications or greater desired.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to operate diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures
• Maintain Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Background check required prior to hiring
• Clear Pre-Screen drug testing per Washington State guidelines required prior to hiring
