Pay

  • Competitive flat-rate pay starting at $28.00 up to $52.50, based on experience and certification level

About the Role

The Service Technician is responsible for understanding and completing routine mechanical repairs required to recondition vehicles to a high company standard. In addition, the Technician will perform general maintenance and diagnoses with assistance and adequately use the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle. The Technician will make a quality check after each repair and inform the Service Manager of any changes or deviations from the original repair order.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality repairs on assigned repair orders, ensuring the vehicle is fixed right the first time and conducting a quality check after each repair
  • Conduct road tests to determine the work required
  • Advise the Service Manager of needed repairs, including parts needed, and report any changes or deviations from the original repair instructions
  • Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and other pertinent repair information
  • Ensure current knowledge of the latest technical data and service procedures
  • Retain essential tools necessary to complete assigned repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and lock up all tools daily
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance, including diagnosing and repairing systems such as engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
  • Previous (1-2 years) of automotive technician experience
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with a favorable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
  • Authorized to work in the United States
