Position Overview
The Automotive Technician / Mechanic performs customer-requested maintenance and repairs with accuracy, efficiency, and strong quality control. They conduct services such as brakes, suspension, steering, and HVAC, execute high-quality repairs, communicate with service advisors and team members, maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards, follow company policies and manufacturer guidelines, and advance their skills and career.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on all makes and models
- Conduct services such as brakes, suspension, steering and HVAC
- Execute high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately while following company procedures
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members regarding vehicle needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards
- Follow company policies and manufacturer guidelines for all work performed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional automotive shop environment
- At least 1 ASE certification preferred (not required)
- Section 609 EPA Certification for automotive HVAC (required or must obtain within 6 months)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must provide personal hand and specialty tools
- Valid TN driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to learning
- Reliable transportation to commute to Knoxville, TN
