About the role

The Empire Automotive Group, located in Green Brook, NJ, is seeking a certified automotive technician with dealership experience to join their team. This position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies.
• Test-drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnostics, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional service needs and provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

• Certified automotive technician experience at an automotive dealership.
• Strong understanding of the service drive.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude along with a customer service mentality.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
• Able to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
