Automotive Technician - Kansas City, MO Airport

About the role

The Automotive Technician performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning according to company policy and procedures. This position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative, with a focus on customer needs and quality standards.

This position is located at our Service Center - 648 Madrid Ave, Kansas City, MO 64153, and starts at $34.00/hour.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to manufacturers' specifications and guidelines.
• Complete required manufacturer's training and perform warranty and recall repairs.
• Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training.
• Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and parts used during the repair.
• Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
• Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software, and diagnostic tools.
• Process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation, or buy-backs as needed.
• Maintain the work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Update job knowledge by participating in company and manufacturer-approved training or industry-related training.
• Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Perform manual labor, including bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Handle objects up to 50 pounds with long periods of standing and walking.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.

Requirements

• Two years of mechanical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles.
• At least 4 current and valid ASE certifications or OEM training/certification in lieu of 4 ASE, with an agreement to obtain 4 ASE certifications.
• Understanding of GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler warranty procedures is a plus.
• Current and valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record within the past 3 years (DUI/DWI).
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Sunday–Thursday, 2:30pm–11:00pm
• Tuesday–Saturday, 2:30pm–11:00pm

Pay

$34.00/hour (starting rate).
