Empire Automotive Group – Hyundai of Jamaica Automotive Technician

We are seeking ALL LEVEL TECHNICIANS ready to elevate their careers. Our newly renovated facility offers a state-of-the-art service drive, an efficient, high-tech shop designed for maximum productivity, and a modern, spacious customer lounge featuring a full beverage and snack bar.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform repairs as outlined in the repair order, following dealership standards.
• Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to assess vehicle components and systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair key automotive systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of any additional service needs, providing accurate time estimates for further repairs.
• Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

• Automotive dealership experience preferred; technical school certificate required.
• ASE certifications in Hyundai vehicles are a plus.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and service drive knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, and open to feedback.
• Ability to learn new technology and operate diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

Automotive technician with a passion for automotive service and repair. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not required.
