About the role
Group 1 Acura Southwest Houston is growing and seeking experienced Flat-Rate/Flag Automotive Technicians to join our high-performing dealership, representing the quality and precision of the Acura brand. Acura/Honda Certified Technicians are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
- Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors
Requirements
- 2 years as an Acura/Honda mechanic is desired
- Flag/flat-rate experience is strongly encouraged
- ASE certifications or technical certificate from a trade school is a plus
- Tools based on our experience
- Communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong desire to provide an exceptional client experience
- Ability to achieve targeted goals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license
