Automotive Technician/Fleet Mechanic

About the role

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician/Fleet Mechanic to join their team in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will enjoy troubleshooting mechanical issues and keeping fleet vehicles running reliably.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations

Requirements

• 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Skills

• Hands-on experience with automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license

Pay & Schedule

• Pay $36.00 - $42.00/hour (based on experience)
• Pay Frequency - Weekly pay - every Friday
• Schedule - Monday - Friday, 200pm to 1030pm

Bonus

• Sign-On & Retention Bonus - Up to $5,500
• $500 Sign On Bonus
• $2500 retention bonus at 6 months
• $2500 retention bonus at 1 year
