Job Overview

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. You will work on everything from routine maintenance to more complex repairs. This role requires a strong attention to detail, great problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using advanced testing equipment and tools.
  • Read and interpret technical service manuals and specifications.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Keep work area clean and organized, following all safety procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and staff as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.

Qualifications

  • Entry-Level Candidates:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in automotive technology preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
    • Some hands-on experience through internships or personal projects is a plus.
    • Strong willingness to learn and grow within the field.
    • Good communication and customer service skills.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experienced Candidates:
    • Completion of a formal training program in automotive technology or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
    • Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Able to work well in a team environment.
    • ASE certification is a plus but not required.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
