About the role

Bertera Subaru of Hartford is a leading automotive dealership committed to providing exceptional service and high-quality vehicles to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Congduct repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other key components.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and explain repairs to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques through ongoing training.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering timely and quality work.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including repair orders and warranty claims.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive technology is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • ASE certification(s) are a plus.
