About the role

Audi of Brooklyn is seeking Automotive Technicians at various levels to join our dynamic team. Our facility features a newly renovated service area with advanced equipment and amenities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and adherence to dealership standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional service needed and provide estimates for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience at an automotive dealership.
  • Automotive Technical School certificate (preferred).
  • ASE Certificates in the Audi family of vehicles (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the service drive.
  • Years of experience vary per position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer competencies.
  • Positive, friendly attitude and customer service mentality.
  • Open to constructive feedback for performance improvement and development.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures and specifications.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
