About the role
Audi of Brooklyn is seeking Automotive Technicians at various levels to join our dynamic team. Our facility features a newly renovated service area with advanced equipment and amenities.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and adherence to dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional service needed and provide estimates for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- Experience at an automotive dealership.
- Automotive Technical School certificate (preferred).
- ASE Certificates in the Audi family of vehicles (preferred).
- Strong understanding of the service drive.
- Years of experience vary per position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer competencies.
- Positive, friendly attitude and customer service mentality.
- Open to constructive feedback for performance improvement and development.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to learn new technology and repair/service procedures and specifications.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
