Job Description
The Mechanic 1st Class is responsible for the upkeep and repair of a wide array of equipment, such as delivery vehicles, heavy-duty machinery, on-road tractors, and trailers sourced from different manufacturers. They specialize in diagnosing and fixing issues with hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronic systems, and engines.
Responsibilities
- Repairs gas and propane vehicles.
- Operates standard and manual transmission.
- Operates power and pneumatic tools.
- Ensures all vehicles are maintained regularly and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday.
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in preventive maintenance, electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
Requirements
- Must have an active driver’s license issued by the state.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must be willing to work 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. shift, Monday-Friday.
- Must possess the required hand tools required to perform the applicable job assignment.
- Must meet D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.

Pay
The starting pay for this position is $39,05 per hour with a one-year progression to top pay $47,68.
Schedule
Must be willing to work 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. shift, Monday-Friday.
