Automotive Technician

Job Duties / Description

• Diagnose and repair all systems of the vehicle - performance/emissions, brakes, suspension/steering, HVAC, electrical, hybrid etc.
• Adequately explain and document the diagnostics and needed repairs.
• Communicate the multi-point inspection results and make appropriate/necessary recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of the customer's vehicle.
• Keep up to date with all factory technical service bulletins and campaigns, and complete all necessary manufacturer training and safety training.
• Ensure a clean and orderly work area (service bay), making sure it is safe.
• Be willing to assist other technicians/mechanics with technical activities (team player).
• Handle additional assignments to leave a positive impression with the customer.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to ALL customers of Marina Del Rey Toyota

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years work experience at a dealership and/or independent repair facility, and minimum of 1 ASE certification.
• Integrity, dependability, and commitment.
• Excellent work ethic / a strong desire to succeed and excel.
• Basic computer skills - ability to navigate various websites and software programs.
• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Background check / drug screen.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Toyota vehicle experience helpful.
