Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Disassembly and assembly of automatic transmissions
• Transmission tear down and diagnosis
• Parts pricing and ordering
• Transmission troubleshooting
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Possess current, valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior experience working on transmissions
• At least five years of experience building common 4, 5, and 6-speed automatic transmissions
• Must be able to meet physical requirements including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds, hearing, speaking, vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus, and being able to feel, handle, or finger objects frequently

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Exposure to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Variations in temperature, including extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on ambient temperatures outside
