Automotive Technician

About the role

Plaza Tire Service, powered by The Sun Auto Network, seeks an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles in accordance with dealership, manufacturer, and Plaza Tire Automotive standards, including MAP guidelines.

• Front end parts
• Preventive maintenance items
• Tire repair/replacement
• Oil changes

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician experience required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess valid driver’s license
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Exposure to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Work environment temperature varies and may include extreme heat or cold
• Use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required
• Stand up to eight hours per day; walk to access various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly; full range of motion with arms and hands; frequent feeling, handling or fingering of objects
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus

Pay

$20–$30 per hour in total compensation, which includes an hourly base plus additional earnings through a flag/flat-rate system.
