Responsibilities

  • Complete the inspection (CAPL worksheet) on each vehicle.
  • Visually check for prototype or broken parts on each vehicle.
  • Conduct final inspections and get each vehicle ready for road tests.
  • Complete vehicle mods and recalls as needed.
  • Diagnose vehicle issues as requested.
  • Install ordered parts.
  • Perform electronic updates or flashing as needed.
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be a reliable team player.
  • Able to identify parts and vehicle components with a detailed understanding of vehicle systems and the ability to diagnose system failures.
  • State of ASE certifications for mechanics and vehicle repair.
  • Computer diagnosis and vehicle electronics.
  • Able to operate shop equipment and tools such as hoists, A/C machines, tire machines, balancers, and computer technologies.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding vehicle schematics and own basic power tools, impacts, grinders, cutting tools, sanders, and hand tools.

Pay

The pay rate for this role starts at $20 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6 am to 3:30 pm.
