About the Role
The Automotive Technician / Mechanic diagnoses, repairs, and maintains customer vehicles efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership, manufacturer, and company standards. They perform multi-point inspections, explain technical issues to customers and team members, and recommend necessary services to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicles based on certification and experience levels.
- Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders.
- Communicate technical diagnoses and repair needs clearly to non-mechanical staff and customers.
- Document all recommendations and work performed accurately.
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards to management.
- Maintain current ASE certifications and renewals.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably one unexpired ASE certification or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
The role involves exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and good vision and hearing. Accommodations are provided for employees with disabilities.
