Automotive Technician

About the role

We're looking for a driven, experienced technician who is detail-oriented and familiar with the flow of working in a dealership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including flushes, oil changes, etc.
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Qualifications

  • Fully licensed ASE certified mechanic
  • Experience in a fast-paced automotive environment
  • Strong communication skills

Skills

  • Proficient in automotive diagnostics and repair
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
