Automotive Technician

About the role

This position involves full automotive troubleshooting, routine inspections, and repairs. Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with minimal supervision.
• Establish positive relationships, striving to achieve a high Customer Service Index.
• Stay informed about changes and innovations in service techniques, as well as manufacturer’s technical bulletins and help lines.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes as mandated by management.
• Advises service advisors if additional work is needed or if specific work outlined is not necessary.
• Supervise work (coach/teach) of less-skilled technicians.
• Keep vehicles and work areas clean.
• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA/EPA standards.
• Update personal tools to maintain state-of-the-art equipment and advise the service manager of needed shop tools or repair of tools.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Requirements

Must have proper credentials to show certification of Master Technician with manufacturer. Pay and sign on bonus based on experience/certifications.

Qualifications

Experience and certifications in Acura, Honda, Honda Frankfort, Subaru, Mazda and Volkswagen brands are preferred but not required. A positive attitude is a must!
