Automotive Technician

This position requires relocation to Wilmington, NC and includes a $5,000 sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies
• Test‑drive vehicles and test components/systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of any additional service needs
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• ASE certification required (B‑level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair)
• Dexterity, steady hand, and excellent hand‑eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
