Automotive Technician

About the role

Kocourek Imports is seeking an Automotive Technician to join their team. The primary responsibilities include performing quick but thorough basic preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, fluid exchanges, engine/cabin air filter services, alignments, tire changes, brake repairs, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as required.
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency.
• Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems as they arise.
• Maintain an organized and neat bay.

Requirements

• Previous automotive service technician experience, 2 years preferred.
• Certifications are a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.
• High level of motivation and ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Proven knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• Professional appearance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass background check including MVR and pre-employment drug test.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical labor.

Pay

$39,122.00 - $94,229.00 per year.
