Dillsboro Automotive is a busy, locally owned automotive repair facility proudly serving Jackson County since 2009. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Automotive Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, values honesty, and wants to be part of a professional team environment. Whether you're an experienced technician or someone with automotive schooling and hands-on experience looking to advance your career, we'd love to talk with you.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance services and vehicle inspections.
  • Use scan tools, testing equipment, and proven diagnostic procedures to identify vehicle concerns.
  • Repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Perform test drives and verify repairs.
  • Document findings, recommendations, and repair information accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work closely with the Service Advisor and fellow technicians to provide an outstanding customer experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Automatic/manual transmission experience preferred.
  • Athleticism and physical fitness are a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience performing automotive maintenance and repair services.
  • Diagnostic experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Dependable, honest, and professional.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Automechanic school, vocational training, ASE certifications, or previous automotive repair experience required.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience performing automotive maintenance and repair services.
  • Diagnostic experience is a plus, but not required.
