Automotive Technician

About the role

Ole Ben Franklin Mitsubishi is seeking a driven, experienced technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and familiar with working in a dealership environment. Factory training and certification are provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including flushes, oil changes, etc.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnostics and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made
• Communicate findings with Service Advisors to include scope of repairs

Requirements

• Experience and awareness of the latest automotive technologies
• Persistent problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Growth-oriented with a willingness to learn more
• Willingness to submit to a drug screen
