Overview
Group 1 Automotive is hiring Automotive Technicians. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified technicians (see store for details). Our technicians work with the latest diagnostic technology in a state-of-the-art environment, performing diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with Group 1’s factory and center standards. We welcome self-driven, motivated candidates with a strong mechanical or electrical background, including experience in automotive, electrical, or aircraft repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform efficient and accurate work in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing
- Maintain an organized shop area
- Road-test vehicles to ensure quality work
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of service work
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
- Adhere to Group 1 Automotive values: Transparency, Professionalism, and Teamwork
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical or electrical background (highly preferred)
- Experience in automotive, electrical, or aircraft repair (highly preferred)
- Ability to work on commission and produce results (guaranteed income during training period)
- Technical school or equivalent training (a plus but not required)
- ASE certification (a plus but not required)
- Experience from all manufacturers accepted

Pay
$20.00 to $75.00 hourly based on experience level.
