Automotive Tech - Entry Level

Responsibilities

• Basic vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Performing emissions testing (state inspections where applicable)
• Vehicle movement
• Inventory management
• Repair documentation and computer utilization
• Explain automotive repairs and issues to management
• Proper documentation of all work performed in DT systems
• Keep area clean and organized

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certificate or Associates degree in automotive technology or work experience equivalent (2 years or more) in automotive repair
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• At least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
• Standing for extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping
• Frequent pushing and/or pulling
• Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Requires use of safety equipment
• Requires some driving and frequent typing
• Able to communicate in English
