About the Role

Lynchburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (LCDJR) is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our Fixed Operations team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while following manufacturer and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and software
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, and inspections
  • Repair and service engines, transmissions, fuel systems, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as wiring, batteries, alternators, and sensors
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, service manuals, and technical service bulletins
  • Ensure all repairs comply with safety policies and environmental regulations
  • Accurately document repairs and recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Formal training or experience in Automotive Technology preferred
  • State Inspection License required
  • Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
