RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership guidelines. - Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. - Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. - Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers about any additional service needed, providing an estimate of the time required for further repairs. - Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work. - Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. - Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and adhere to prescribed safety regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

- High school diploma or equivalent - 2-year college degree in vehicle maintenance/automotive technology preferred - Strong automotive background - Strong teamwork skills - Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check - Valid driver’s license free from major infractions required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. - Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly. - Must be able to inspect vehicles to determine necessary repairs. - Good vision to inspect repair work. - Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
