Automotive Service Technician

Responsibilities and Duties

• Examining the vehicle to determine if any additional or safety work is required beyond the work order provided by the Service Advisor.
• Facilitate customer needs according to management.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Documenting work performed.
• Understanding and following Federal, State and Local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an automotive technician (automotive mechanic) or recent completion of automotive tech/trade school with certifications.
• State certifications.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
