Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Lithia Honda is hiring a Service Technician. This is a flat rate position eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonuses based on production productivity.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
• Ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Complete all required training.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
• Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Competency: Passed manufacturer training and can perform repairs in the following areas with no supervision: Lube and Maintenance Services, Engine Repair, Suspension/Steering Repair, Brake Repair, Heating and A/C Repair (Optional).
• Certification/Training: Manufacturer certified in all areas listed above.
• Customer Pay Proficiency Level: Greater than 100% Customer Pay Repairs.
• Automotive Technical Knowledge: Two+ years.

Pay

The average pay range for this position is $20.00-$50.00 per flat rate hours. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.

Schedule

This is a full-time position.
