Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on Ford vehicles using Ford IDS and diagnostic tools
- Perform advanced repairs including engine work, transmission diagnostics, and hybrid/EV system troubleshooting
- Complete warranty repairs according to Ford service standards and technical bulletins
- Provide accurate repair estimates and communicate clearly with Service Advisors and customers
- Train and mentor entry-level technicians
- Program vehicle software and perform module updates per Ford specifications
- Perform quality inspections and road tests on completed repairs
- Document all work accurately in the dealership management system
- Keep pace with Ford product updates and new technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years as an automotive service technician
- 2+ years of dealership experience (Ford dealership preferred)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency with Ford diagnostic systems (IDS, FDRS)
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Either Ford Certification or ASE certification required
- Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle repair a plus
