Automotive Service Technician
About the role
Bob Allen Ford is a well-established Ford dealership serving Overland Park and the greater Kansas City area. Our service department is fast-paced, well-equipped, and focused on quality repairs, consistent workflow, and long-term technician success. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our service team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Ford and other vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance including brakes, suspension, and engine services
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Document all work performed accurately
- Communicate findings and repair needs with service advisors
- Follow Ford service procedures and dealership guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience required
- Ford certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Pay and Schedule
Up to $38.11 per flat rate hour based on experience and certifications. Performance incentives available.
Job Type and Schedule: Full time Day shift Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays
