Automotive Service Technician: All Levels (4-Day Work Week!)

Whether you’re just starting your automotive career or you’re an experienced Master Technician, Shottenkirk Chevrolet Buick GMC Fort Madison has a place for you. We’re actively hiring Automotive Service Technicians of all experience levels, including Quick Lube Technicians, Express Service Technicians, C-Level, B-Level, A-Level, GM Certified, and Master Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and multi-point inspections
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Use diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns
• Communicate repair recommendations with Service Advisors
• Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality standards
• Continuously develop technical skills through factory and dealership training

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
• ASE certifications, GM certifications, or OEM training are a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Schedule

• Shift 1: Monday - Thursday
• Shift 2: Tuesday - Friday
• Shift 3: Wednesday - Saturday (Saturday shift ends at 12:00 PM)
