Job Description
Job Title: Automotive Service Estimator
Location: 2190 Church Road, Arnold, United States, 63010

As an Automotive Estimator with Christian Brothers Automotive, you will play a critical role in our automotive shop as a key repair order builder, ensuring that every guest receives top-notch service and their vehicle is repaired to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Reviews all digital vehicle inspections by technicians, using them to build detailed estimates / repair orders
- Build detailed repair orders / estimates including parts and labor components using industry resources and repair proceedures
- Interface with technicians on each ticket to ensure approprate labor times and parts/proceedures for each repair order so that the repair order can be presented accurately and in a timely manner to the guest
- Manage all quick service tickets, including waiters, as well as all phone quotes
- Maintains an organized and up-to-date repair log
- Answers customer inquiries and prepares estimates for our guest
- Presents the best solution to properly repair our customer’s vehicles in a way that is easy for them to understand
- Ensures that all work is performed to proper specifications and within the time promised to the guest
- Manages relationships with part supply vendors, tool vendors, and all external vendors effectively
- Prioritizes technician workloads with part availability
- Manages the part supply process, including inventory, pricing, returns, warranty claims, etc.
- Regularly interacts with external vendors on parts inventory and pricing
- Coordinates and schedules maintenance for shop equipment
- Prepares a list of needed service department equipment, supplies, and required repairs - reviews service department repairs with the Service Manager
- Assists other employees as needed
Qualifications
- TekMetric software experience and knowledge is a huge plus
- Strong industry knowledge and ability to build complex tickets accurately and efficiently
- Deep knowledge and experience estimating tickets involving third party warranties and the ability to navigate the third-party warranty process
- Deep understanding of parts ordering, returns, and reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with technicians, guest, and other team members to ensure that everyone is on the same page
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills: Estimators are responsible for coordinating multiple work orders, scheduling appointments, and managing paperwork. They must be highly organized to ensure that everything is completed accurately and on time
- Customer service skills: Must have strong customer service skills to answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and ensure that customers are satisfied with the work that is performed on their vehicles
- Proficient in Windows-based computer software and automotive store applications
- Previous experience in an Automotive Sales, Advisor/Writer, or Estimator/Dispatcher position preferred
Physical Requirements
- Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm
- Being on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
