Homer Skelton CDJR of Millington is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Automotive Service Cashier to join our service department in Millington, TN. The Service Cashier plays an important role in creating a positive customer experience by assisting customers with the checkout process, accurately processing payments, and supporting the Service Advisors and Service Department team. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable handling payments, and enjoys working with customers in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Greet service customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process customer payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit cards, and other approved payment methods.
• Prepare and present customer invoices and receipts.
• Verify repair orders and ensure charges are properly documented before payment.
• Answer customer questions regarding invoices, payments, and basic service transactions.
• Assist Service Advisors with customer checkout.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Balance and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
• Handle customer information and financial transactions with confidentiality.
• Answer incoming calls and direct customers to the appropriate department when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional cashier area.
• Follow dealership policies and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the checkout experience.
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Employment with Homer Skelton CDJR is contingent upon successfully completing the company's required pre-employment screening process, which includes a background check and drug screening. All screening will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, customer service, dealership, automotive, or administrative experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable handling cash and processing credit/debit card transactions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership software.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
