Pay
Starting base compensation is $23.65 hourly. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to hourly pay, Service Advisors are eligible for uncapped monthly performance bonuses, spiffs, and contests throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, answer telephone calls, and schedule appointments promptly and courteously.
- Review repairs and services with customers to ensure a complete understanding of the work performed.
- Contact customers regarding any deviations from the original estimate of cost or time for vehicle readiness.
- Note customer approval for all repair/service orders and any additional costs, including name and time of approval.
- Distribute work to shop technicians while monitoring progress and accuracy of each job.
- Supply information to technicians as needed.
- Arrange repairs and payment for vehicles covered by extended warranty programs.
- Coordinate towing and/or alternate transportation (shuttle or rental) in accordance with Total Repair Care (TRC) standards.
- Monitor vehicle inspection dates to ensure compliance before due dates.
- Notify customers of required vehicle servicing per manufacturer recommendations and state requirements, explaining the details clearly.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred, or three years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven sales and customer satisfaction record.
- Knowledge of automotive technology and the ability to communicate this information to support teams, customers, and technicians.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Service Advisor Certification is a plus but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to complete required pre-employment screenings (background check and drug screening) if offered the position.
- Authorized to work in the USA.
